A-2 Jacket with interesting history.
Giancarlo: "This A-2 jacket was originally the property of S/Sgt Frank H. Butman, 545th SQ, who was killed in action on March 4, 1944. After he was killed, William S. Curtis, who flew many missions with Sgt Butman, acquired the jacket and put his own name on the outside. I purchased this jacket not knowing this and it wasn't until I found Sgt Butman's name written inside that I began looking into this further."
Information and pictures are courtesy of Rick Giancarlo, a collector of 384th Bomb Group memorabilia.
