This crew was assigned to the 546th BS as the "Model" crew (first combat crew assigned to the squadron).

Photo likely taken after 14 July 1943, which was the date of the seventh mission completed by the aircraft pictured (42-3218 "DORIS MAE"). Note number of bombs stenciled on the left side of the nose.
