On 6 February 1945, 8000 POW of Grosstychow, Poland left the camp. The injuried boarded a train for a 9 days'hell trip to Barth, Ger, with little food or water. The others marched in a 15 degrees F, 14 inches of snow, between 57 and 86 days, between 530 and 930 kilometers. Known as the Death March, it ended on 26 April 1945 at Halle, Germany.
