LITTLE CHUB was shot down by Swiss fighters and fell into Lake Greifenzee while 1LT Everett W. Bailey and his crew were attempting to land at Dubendorf. Martin Schaffner lifted the B-17G-50-BO (42-102446) from the bottom of the lake during the early fifties. The wreckage was later scrapped. From Weltwoche Bilderarchive.
