Arthur Osepchook, Ball Turret Gunner of the Merlin H Reed Crew, 546th Bombardment Squadron, was assigned to the 384th BG on 18 October 1943. He was one of the two survivors of the incident on 9 March 1944 while on his 17th combat mission when his aircraft – the "SILVER DOLLAR" - was severely damaged by bombs falling from B-17s above it killing all but two aboard.
