This picture was taken at Grafton Underwood sometime in late 1943 or early 1944.

The building named as Weather Station appears to be at the rear of the Station 106 Control Tower.

Full names of the men in the picture, when available, were determined from existing documentation in the 384th Bomb Group Wartime Documents album and microfilm Reel B0021 obtained from the Air Force Historical Research Agency, Montgomery AFB, Alabama.

The ranks listed for each enlisted man repeat what is written on the photo and not the ranks evident on the men’s uniforms.

Photo is courtesy of Mark Scarbrough, son of John Paul Scarbrough.
