The William T Johnson crew was assigned to the 544th Bomb Squadron on 26 February 1944.
This is apparently a photo taken during the crew training phase.
Three of the men noted on the rear of the photo are not listed on the Johnson Crew assignment order.
One of the three men, D. J. Hoeldtke (Donald J.) (NAV) served with the 351st Bomb Group 510th Bomb Squadron. The fate of the other two men is not known.
