Bonacker holds the book that describes the circumstances surrounding the midair collision that ended his combat duty. It was written (in German, of course) by Klaus Schumann and Horst Ries, who were 6 years old when the collision happened over their little town of Leisnig, Germany. In 2014, it was translated into English and published for worldwide distribution.
