March 18, 1944 - Shot down over Germany, crash landed in Altenrhein Switzerland. #3 and #4 were burning when crew exited plane.
All ten survived with no serious injuries. All were POWs
70 years later, Co-Pilot Jack N. McKinney was posthumously awarded the POW Medal. (143 Swiss Interness Awarded the POW Medal, all well deserved).
