"Running very short of gas; feathered one engine; undercarriage and one tire destroyed by enemy action; intended to circle field until other planes had landed before making crash landing. While circling the field another engine cut out due to lack of fuel. Pilot brought plane on in for belly landing. A/C completely destroyed. No crew members were injured except for minor shock." S-1, A-2 report. "two props windmilling, running out of gas, hit in left wing and lost aileron controls, tail damaged, top turret quit working, ball turret oxygen system developed a leak." As Briefed; PROLOG - belly landing at high speed; slid at terrific pace the full length of the field, made an abrupt whirl about at the far end of field, careening over an anti-a/c emplacement and halting 25 yards from a ship in a dispersal area; no crew injured; Priesnitz used four big celled air bags and tail cribbing to lift and move the a/c, which was then scrapped.
