Mark Brooks Calnon with his Primary Training "flight."

Back, left-right: Cadet Mark B Calnon, unidentified Instructor Pilot, Cadet Andrew J. Hughes.
Front, left-right: Cadet Joseph F. Campagna, Cadet Fred R. Malingren.

The aircraft is a U.S. Army PT-19 Primary Trainer, used in initial ("primary") pilot training.

Calnon is the only cadet pictured who eventually sreved with the 384th Bombardment Group (H). The photo is typical of those taken at the completion of Primary Flying Training, before Cadets move on to Basic Flying Training.
