Bill Soester: "[This] is of my dad and three others. On the back is written – Wilbur and Crew, De Soto Beach Hotel, Savannah, Georgia, June 1944. I don’t know if they were training in the area or on leave before departing overseas. Interestingly, the hotel is still in business. My guess as to those in the photo are, from left to right:

Earl W. Fisher,
Can’t identify this person
George B. Schold
Wilbur Soester"

The person not identified may be the original crew copilot, Daniel S Grabon. Grabon arrived at the 384th with the Soester Crew, and was KIA on his first mission while flying with another crew.

Contributed by Bill Soester, son of Wilbur L Soester, in 2017.
