Frank Alfter: "While preparing to give a briefing at the museum about my father’s shoot-down, I came across this photo. The note at the bottom says it was Courtemanche’s B-17. He was in the 546th and flew (and survived) the 13 April 44 mission to Schweinfurt."

Ralph Courtemanche flew this aircraft on 14 of his Combat Missions. He stayed on with the 384th, serving for a while as the 546th BS Operations Officer.
