Paul Newbold, Reg Payne, Cindy Bryan, and Steve Newbold
Steve's dad/Paul's granddad, Lawrence Newbold, and Cindy's dad, George Edwin Farrar, were roommates in the Stalag Luft IV POW camp and marched together across Germany on the 86-day 500-mile Black March. Artist Reg Payne and Lawrence Newbold were both Lancaster wireless operators with the RAF's 50 Squadron. George Farrar was a B-17 waist gunner with the 384th Bomb Group.
