George Cramer became the 75th Veteran of the 384th Bomb Group to sign the wing panel on 9 January 2014 in Mobile, Alabama.

Cramer was the Ball Turret Gunner for the Charles Shuff Crew, which was assigned to the 547th Bomb Squadron in February 1945. He had flown 23 combat missions by the end of the air war in April 1945. Combat mission records for the period 20 February to 4 March 1945 show George Cramer assigned to the Tail Gunner position. George Cramer, in personal interviews in January 2014, stated that 'I [Cramer] never flew in any other position than Ball Turret.' The life of a historian is never easy...

Panel host for this signing event was Keith Ellefson, assisted by Mike Jerrell.
